Pets Corner

Good Monday everyone!

What a cute challenge we have today for you:

PETS CORNER

Isn't it sweet? Since we all love animals I guess the challenge is great!
Join us showcasing your private pet or just a project with any pet.

As always you can be a winne of $50 and ten spend it at SSS Store!
Don't think twice, both the challenge and the price are awesome!

My friend asked me to make a card for the vet of their dog.
I am absolutely much more into cats than dogs but this dog I love.
His name is Funfel (he even owns a fanpage!)
and is a veeeeery adorable golden retriever.
I had so great time making this card for them hoping his vet enjoys it.

The background was stamped with Grid stamp and embossed with White Powder. I really love this SSS stamp for its simplicity allowing to make
so many versions of background using watercoloring. Since the leaves are quite strong in colors and Funfel is a clear biscuit color, the background had to be soft and delicate so I mixed Tumbled Glass and Antique Linen

Funfel is made with Crazy Dogs set and painted with Oil Pastel Crayons
and has a touch of Glitter Clear Wink of Stella pen (which is addictive, I absolutely LOVE it). Since Funfel always wear bandanas of diferent colors, I need to do it as well :-)

The beautiful Tattered Leaves were covered with gesso with the "kissing" technique so they looks like they have natural veins. For coloring I used all the green shades I have with a touch of dark brown.
The name was cut out from Core'dinations paper with Alphanumeric die set.

Spread Your Wings

Another winter Monday invites you to join SSS Monday Challenge.

This week we accurage you to
SPREAD YOUR WINGS

As always you can be a winner of $50 voucher
and spend it at the greatest Simon Says Stamp Store!

I am still playing with Prima Oil Pastel Crayons and hardly can stop.
Which is great for my old book transformed into an art journal which was a bit abandoned and now has bedd given a new life and I really enjoy to spreading my creative wings filling the pages freely and admiring the results.
This time it's a colorful project showing I really miss Spring!!!

If you want to know how I have made this pages, here are step by step points:

Cover the pages with White Gesso and let them dry.
Cut out multisize circles from cardboard of different thickness.
Cover the circles with White Gesso as well.
Adhere the circles with Gel Medium.

Start to smear Oil Pastel Crayons on the circles with your fingers.

Apply black crayon below the circles giving a shadow.

Stamp randomly different patterns on the background and the edges.
Adhere Ring Frame diecuts in the corners (thanks, Sandra!).
Apply a thin layer of White Gesso where the colors are too strong or dark.

Stamp on Tissue Paper with Archival Black Jet the balloon from Remnants stamp set (thanks, Sandra!), the dragonfly from Calssics #1
and Butterflies and Moths, cut them carefully out,
apply Gel Medium and adhere to the surface.

Give another thin layer of gesso on the stamps and a glitter with Wink of Stella.

Place the Small Talk on a Kraft Cardstock and aplly with 3D dots.

Splash some drops with Dylusions Black Marble Paint
