Fall

Hello crafters!
This week we invite you to join our challenge themed
AUTUMN / FALL

As always you can be a random winner of $50 voucher
and spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store

I really love all the Fall colors we have here in Poland.
Usually the Autumn time is very pleasant and the days are still quite nice
with lovely sunny weather and thousands of leaves colors on the trees.
It's a very short time though just before all the leaves fall down
and all the landscape turns into brownish grey.
So let's catch all the beauty of Autumn.

My card contains Fall shades and lots of embossing techniques.
If you'd like to know how I made it, see pics of step by step process.

1.  On a watercolor or mixed media cardstock play with a mix of Distress Inks, Distress Oxide Inks and water building layers of colors. Heat dry each layer before applying another one.
2.  Take an embossing folder of your choice and dry emboss the coloured base. I work on 15x15 cm cardstocks so I need to move most of the embossing folders to cover all the surface.
3.  Use the Emboss It Dabber to cover the peaked parts of the embossed cardstock. Do it carefully by touching them very lightly. Embossing Ink pads would work well too.
4.  Apply the embossing powder, brush away all the remain chips and heat emboss what stuck to the base. Since the enamels contain black tiny powder, it will stick first not allowing the colour chips to stick. Use Emboss It pen on the parts not covered and apply the powder again.

1.  Use Distress Oxide Black Soot ink with clear embossing powder for stamping on a black cardstock. Heat dry the stamped pattern until all the details are glossy.
2.  Prepare a really small amount of white gesso and a semi soft brush. Do not add water. Take a minimal amount of gesso on the brush and wipe it several times on your mat before touching the embossed black surface. The brush needs to be really dry.
3.  Keep wiping the white gesso on your black surface in different directions making the pattern look visible and salient. The clue is to make it with a very small amount of gesso and repeat it several times building layers until the white film is quite even.

1.   Cover the die cut clock with white gesso  and colour it with sprays or inks. Dry well. Use again the Emboss It Dabber to apply the ink randomly. Dust the element with clear embossing powder to get a glossy finish.

1.  Colour the die cut element with a metallic acrylic paint and a liquid acrylic paint, heat dry the surface. Use embossing dabber or ink pad or pen to leave some sticky ink randomly on the edges of the chipboard. Sprinkle the embossing enamel.
2.  Cut a heart from a watercolour cardstock, colour it with a mixture of red and orange sprays and dry well. Using the embossing pen, place the ink on the edges of the heart and apply the embossing enamel or powder.
3.  For the final touch, cover the focal point of the card, splash the sides with Distress Resist Spray and sprinkle some white powder or enamel. This will brighten a bit the project.
