Love Is In The Air

LOVE IS IN THE AIR

This week we also showcase beautiful Carabelle Studio products.
If you have them, that would be nice to see them used.

As always there is a $50 voucher waiting for one random winner
who could spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store

This is my full of love card with Carabelle Studio Envolee de Coeurs
embossing folder which I had completely different vision of its use
but finally it turned out as you can see and I really love this effect.
Take a look below on how I made it and some close-ups too.

I started tipically with embossing of my panel with Carabelle Studio
Envolee de Coeurs embossing folder and I really loved the pattern!
But as I wanted to treat it with mixed medias I needed it to be resistant.
The best way to achieve it was to cover with embossing powder, right?
So I did it with SSS White Fine Detail Powder where only the raised
pattern was covered with powder and I loved this effect even more.
After that I also put some Crackle Paste randomly and started to
give color with deep reds, a bit of pink and black.
I loved how the embossed parts were still visible and constrasting.

I left my hearted panel aside and started to make the main background.
As I do not own much colors of embossing powders I used a trick
with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain ink which stays wet long enough
to apply embossing powders successfully.
Here I used the SSS Clear Embossing Powder and I obtained
pretty brown embossing result. Lovely, right?
Then I sewed the edges and colored the background with Distress Oxides.
