Ombre

Hi there and join us over Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge!
This week we are getting ispired by colors made as...

OMBRE

As it is the first week of the month
we are showcasing a particular brand/designer.
This week we are all using products from the fabulous Dina Wakley
You don't have to use them to join in but if you have them
we would love to see them used!

As always you can win a $50 voucher and spend it

I really loved the process of making this project and I really love those tags.
I wanted to keep the earth tones on my background so used
several shades of browns, cream and beige.

First I covered my tag with a thin layer of white gesso.
Then I used my new Dina Wakley Guts stencil and applied a crackle paste.
I left it to dry overnight (which was the hardest part of the project!)
cause I wanted to get a really nice and antural crackles.
The next day I colored the tag with Distress inks, sprays and paints.
Finally I applied pieces of Botanical Collage paper
and glued them with gel medium.

As I needed a square and bold frame for Dina Wakley Collage Words,
I had to make it by myself cause I only have some rectangle ones.
I cut 4 pieces of a Thorn paper Sizzix Bigz out from my cat's meal box.
I trimmed them and joined with staples, covered with white gesso giving
an irregular texture, painted with a pearl base and then added yellow colors making the frame also ombre which is not well shown on pics.

Finally I placed the Dina Wakley Collage Words insade the frame
and covered with Ranger Rock Candy which I lately love!
Added some flowers from Idea-ology Botanical and a Paper Doll.
Splashed it all with Distress Picked Fence.
