Cityscape

Hello everybody and welcome to another

This week we'd love to see CITYSCAPES on your projects!

Join us and remember you can be a random winner of $50
and spend it over Simon Says Stamp Store

I really do not have an overall or specific idea of what I'm going to make
while I start to create. It's 95% very spontaneous and not studied at all.

This card was going to be completely different in my mind's flash I got.
And the reality is as how it is and always surprises me :-)

The only thing I knew was that it'd have retro, washed-out colors.
And the goal is achieved, right?

I started with embossing the background with my new
Carabelle Texte Grunge embossing folder
which I really adore for the big letters and the grungy fonts.
Since it's not my cards' size, I needed to play with it twice
but due to the letters going in different directions,
the bonding line is almost invisible.

Having the background embossed, I started to give a soft smears of Oxides
and finally stamped softly a text taken from TH Entomology set.

The TH Lumber embossing folder was another one I used for the first time.
I embossed the piece of white cardstock and colored it with brown Oxides.

The houses were colored with Oxides and covered with Rock Candy Distress Crackle Paint to give a shine, crackles and stronger colors.

I made up the scene, adhered it with 3D dots, added some greenery from
SSS Leafy Frame die and splattered with Prima Metallique Brass Paint.
