Be True to Yourself

Ok, so this is it :-) 

I have made another MYSELF canvas.

I was absolutely inspired by the great sketch made by Scrap Africa 

where I am honored to be a Guest Designer this time since my winning box in the Pinterest Challenge.

Wow! I did it! 

My first scrap project this year and I guess this is my first "something" made just for me!

This was a simply pleasure to make it and thinking only about myself. 

Great afternoon.

Now I'd like someone to clean up my craft room :D

Anyway, this is a canvas with my favorite photo of ...myself!

(OK, the only one that could be shown) :-P

I felt pushed up by Tusia' invitation to join 

the May 2014 Challenge #13 Celebratory Mood at Scrap Around the World

and just couldn't resist the temptation :D

I was looking at the May Mood a long while and decided to base my project on the bottom left picture of a plate with cakes. I loved the dark grey + strong pink + silver and made my canvas with this colors.

The second inspiration was the Simple Pleasures May Challenge at Berry71Bleu.

There were some Simple Pleasures: while I'm looking at my picture I always think about some pleasure, the pleasure was making this canvas as well, and I also felt inspired by this lovely board, especially the left top picture with those fabulous roses. I hope my handmade fabric flowers seem at least a little bit like them:

I guess I should play along at Challenge#235 DIY Flower at Little Red Wagon 

and will join the Simon Says: Anything Goes challenge.

 

 

 I put two very important sentences that I have to remind myself all the time! 

Now this would be easier to remember...

Canvas for my Friend

Ok, I did it, I really did :-) 

I've made my first LO on canvas this year!!! I've noticed I only make them in Christmas season, last year I made four of this type of canvas exactly in the same time of the year, isn't it strange? But I have to admit I have had so much fun and emotions making it that I guess I will do it more often from now :-)

This is a gift for my Friend I meet tomorrow and I hope she will like it :-)

And please forgive me so much photos but I am so impressed I did it that I couldn't stop making photos :P

I used mists, my new and favorite stencil, modeling paste, distress inks and a lot of embellishments :-)

Ok, this LO was totally inspired by the amazing Mood Board posted by Scrap Around the World: December 2013 Challenge#8, the soft colors, the beautiful frames, the ring and delicate feather... Uhmmm....

I'd love to join the December Challenge at Once Upon the Sketch but not sure the words I put and the washi tape with old script is enough as for the journalling but anyway I'll try :-)

And finally I'd like to join the Simon Says Stamp: Wednesday Challenge: Make Your Own Background since I did my background using the stencil, modeling paste, mists and inks :-)
