Fall/Autumn

Hello everyone and welcome to another
Since we are facing the inevitable end of Summer, this week's theme is

FALL / AUTUMN

As always you can be a winner of a randomly selected $50 voucher
and spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store for your crafty dreams...

I made a very sunny and autumn card with all its best colors.
Here in Poland the fall is called Polish Golden Autumn just because
of its amazing colors explosion and the leaves changing the shades.
The view is really beautiful before all the leaves fall down...

This post has a lot of pictures as I remembered to take them finally.
Just take a look at the steps I took to make this card:

1. Cut out the leaves in your base
2. Start to give it yellow and orange colors with distress oxide inks.
3. I tried to use the micro glaze technique here but with too similar
colors, the effect is not as visible as I wished it to be. First I took one
stencil and smeared micro glaze through it and then gave some
pinky shades with distress oxide ink. The stencil pattern stayed yellow.
4. Take another stencil and apply micro glaze again.
Color with some brown shades of distress oxide inks
and the pattern stays yellow and pinky.

5. Apply a darker brown ink on the edges and the inner outline of the leaves.
6. Apply distress crackle paint through another stencil. It's 3rd already! :-)

7. Give a random touch with opal magic paint with golden shades.
8. Mark the spaces where the leaves will fall
9. Cut some pieces of different leaves from botanical collage paper.
10. Color them with green on the left side (this way the color
will not come off that much while covering it with gel medium)
11. Glue the leaves in the marked spaces with gel medium.
12. Splash them with gold and white paint + water.

13. Cut out the frame from a solid cardboard and use the leftovers!
14. Create a frame and fix it with brads.
15. Cover the frame with a thick layer of gesso creating texture.
16. Paint the frame with green mousse and sage infusions.
17. Stamp the sentiment on a vellum with distress brown oxide
and cover with clear embossing powder, heat dry.
18. Color the paper doll with oil pastels and glue clear sequins.
19. Splash everything with white paint + water.
20. Stamp randomly the base with any pattern to give more interest.

That's it :-)
