RUST IT UP

 It's been a while since I played with rust so it was time. 

I decided to make this Valentine/Anniversary card (yes, it is really!)

cause there is one perfect saying in my language:

Stara miłość nie rdzewieje which would mean literally in English:

Old love doesn't rust (which you have like old love never dies)

so you know... I needed to use it as a love card :-)

Something New

Hello crafters!

Happy New Year for all of you!

This week couldn't start with other theme as 

SOMETHING NEW

As always you can be a random winner of $50 voucher

and spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store. 

 I had so much fun and relax making this set. 

It may say I'm already missing the Spring to come :-)

Take a look at the step by step pics to see how I achieved this result. 

I started with my using my new flowers stencil by Darkroom Door and applying the modeling paste, heating it up until it bubbled (you know me...). 

Then I placed pieces of an old dictionary pages and Tim Holtz washi tape. 

I covered everything with a thin layer of gesso and started to give colors 

to my background using blues, yellow and brown paints. 

Then I experimented with black paint by covering the flowers and wiping the paint out with some water that the paint stayed only in the bottom areas. 

After that I played with some doodling which was fun. 

I colored the flowers using oil pastels and then applied some white gesso 

using dry brush technique to calm down the colors. 

Added stamping and highlightes the edges with black crayon. 

Finally cut my base into two parts making two cards.
