Stencil It

Welcome to another great Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.

This week we want you to STENCIL IT.
As simple as that so take all your stencils and have fun.
As always there is a $50 voucher to win
and spend at Simon Says Stamp Store!
Don't think twice and join us.

My today's projest is a quite heavy card with the whole background
covered with texture paste and a cute Leafy stencil by Tim Holtz.
I really love the deep purples made with some mixed media products.
Take a look:

On my background I played a lot with Infusions and Metallique paints,
lots of water and heat drying and all over again.
First I applied the texture paste through the Leafy stencil and heat dried it.
Mixed Metallique Paints with water and placed on my background
randomly letting them pass between the textured patterns.
I did it several times, drying in between the layers.
After that I applied the Infusions and played several times too.
When I was satisfied with the colors, I stamped the frame
with Bo Bunny Stitches and Archival Jet Black.

Then I took my second panel of watercolor paper and just played
with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain Ink building the background
several times until the effect was the one I wanted.
I also added some Distress Wild Honey Ink to warmer the browns.
Then I stamped the same frame as on my bigger background
with Archival Jet Black and some random letters from
Type Lower Foam Stamp with  Distress Oxide Walnut Stain Ink.
I gave a touch of Prima Vintage Vanity stamp as well.

Finally I die cut some Wildflowers 2 and colored them with Distress Inks.
Die cut a sentiment with Alphanumeric thinlits from a golden
mirror cardstock from my stash.
The sentiment is in Polish and means "100 years"
which is what we wish on someone's birthday.
I placed all together with 3D dots and add a twine.

Let's Take a Vacation

Hi there and welcome to another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
This week we invite you to TAKE  A VACATION!

As always Simon Says Stamp Store is giving a $50 voucher
to a random winner who will spend it at their fantastic shop!
Don't think it twice and join us today!

Taking a vacation is what I really love.
Vacatio for me is leave the office, leave the city and go away.
Wherever, just to relax and change the place we live all the time.
It's so refreshing and batteries charging.
My card is all about this, about leaving the city and see the world
even if this world is few miles away.

Taking a vacation I connot with clear blue skies so my background couldn't be any other color just shades of blue. For this I heat embossed the Simon Says Stamp Grit Background stamp with the Fine Detail White Embossing Powder   and then played with Stormy Sky and Faded Jeans Distress Oxides.
Then I stamped Stampers Anonymous Classics#1
with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain, sprayed with water and that's it.

I die-cutted the Globe and covered it with Opal Magic Violet Gold paint to give some shine and touched with Distress Oxide Walnut Stain.
For the bottom I used two raws of Cityscapes (thanks, Sandra!), colored them with Distress Oxides and painted with the same Opal Magic.
Adhered all the elements with 3D dots and added my fave Quote-chip.
