Hello crafters!
Let's start Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge fun!
It's finally Spring in full bloom and the theme is
FLOWER POWER!
Remember that you could be a winner of a $50 voucher
and spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store. Don't think twice!
My Art Journal spread is sunny and in a Spring mood.
I wanted the flowers to be a focal point and my background very neutral.
Unfortunatelly no step-by-step pics this time but some close-ups!
First I covered the whole surface with white gesso then applied some
random layers od modeling paste and a touches of crackle paste.
I heat dried it all ( I know I should let it air dry but I am impatient!)
Next I put more modeling paste through the stencil and dried.
The best part was to apply colors very detailed and exactly in places
I wanted the color to be put. This time I worked with a thin brush
applying layers of colors and spreading it with a bit of water.
It took ages but I am really happy with the effect. It was worth the time.
After I finished with the background, I sie dut lots of flowers, colored them in yellow, golden and distressed the edges with ground espresso.
I put black dots of dylusions paint in the center of each flower.
