Here we come with another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge
which theme this week is IT'S A WRAP
which means we'd like to see your packaging projects.
As always you can win a $50 voucher to spend it
Yesterday was my parents' 45th wedding anniversary so I made a box
as a packaging for the gift I bought them. I made it from scratch,
here below you can see how :-)
I started with cutting a very thick cardboard to the sizes I needed.
I covered it all with a thin layer of white gesso making a bit of texture, too.
Then I tore the collage paper and placed it with collage medium.
I also colored the flowers and leaves using Dylusions sprays.
After they were dry, I covered the painted elements with micro glaze medium
and sprayed the backgrounds with some brown and golden sprays.
I also splashed them with ground espresso to give more interest.
Finally I stamped a fern with oxide ground espresso ink
end embossed it with clear embossing powder.
After all the parts were done, I glued them with collage medium
and added the top fixed on a strip of canvas to can open it as a flap.
My parents loved the box so I hope you like it too :-)
