This is my FIRST Xmas card this year!

And I was making it in a most lovely company I could have. 

It was quite refreshing making winter projects at 36 degrees outside :-)

Just be yourself

It seems I am still in a summer mood although it's getting quite cold here.

I made a very sunny and optimistic card just to keep the summer for a while.

I started with watrcolor stamping of the ORGANICS stamps and distress inks.

I applied the inks on the stamps and sprayed with water. 

After the stamped images dried, I applied emboss-it pen and a clear

embossing powder to highlight some of the "branches"

For the sky I used a bottom piece of the BUTTERFLY INK stencil

and the clear gloss texture paste. Then I applied distress ink in tumbled glass. 

The flowers were heat embossed in white and colored with distress inks.

What's done in Malta, stays in Malta so the card stayed too :-)

I used faux stitches and some masculine stamping. 

The Birthday man is a cat lover so they had to appear somewhere.
