Take a Note

Hi there and be sure to join Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
This week you the theme is TAKE A NOTE.

As always there is a $50 voucher waiting for one random winner
who could spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store

I made a small note book from my quite old stash which was laying there
quietly waiting for its turn to get a new, more vibrant and vintage life.
Take a look below at the step by step pics and some close ups as always!

I started with die cutting the notebook pieces from a cardboard.
Next I used the technique with stamping with Distress Oxides and then embossing it with Clear Embossing Powder, I love that! I distressed
the edges of my pieces and gave some more color with browns oxides.

Then I focused on my covers which I covered with gel medium and adhered
pieces of several pages of Crowded Attic paper, it was perfect here.
I applied a thin layer of gel medium on the top as well and started to play
with some Infusions to melt the colors and made everything vintage looked.

I also gave some color with Distress Oxides in the same tones.
Colored the edges with dark brown and finally stamped both covers with
Archival ink and some TH stamps. The last touch was to adhere a twine.
Finally I only placed all together adding botanical and paper doll pieces.

Close-ups :-)
