Summer Fun

Have someone said summer holiday/vacation? I'm in.
we invite you to join our SUMMER FUN theme.

As always you can win a $50 voucher and spend it

Summer vacation for me is always exploring, discovering and visiting.
I am not a laying on the beach kind of person so I always try to visit some
new places and explore their beauty. I love the sightseeing and taking pics.
That is why my tag was made in a very travelling mood.

First I cut out the Sizzix Globe which I really love but would prefer
they make them in a Bigz version to can cut thicker material.
I colored it with Distress Oxide Inks, spritzed with water, covered with a thin layer of pearl paint to fix the colors, colored with Distress Oxides again and finally covered with my absolutely fave Distress Crackle Paint Rock Candy
This layer did a double work: crackled and extracted the vibrancy of colors.

I cut out 2 tags, one from a kraft paper and the other one
from a white cardstock. The white one was colored with soft
browns and yellow Distress Oxide inks.
I also used Sizzix Mixed Media die to cut one of the corners.

For my words I used SSS Green Apple Cardstock
embossed with the beautiful Sizzix Botanical 3D folder
and touched with Prima Shine On foils (thanks, Sandra!).

Have a great SUMMER FUN everyone!

Remember This

Here we go with another Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
Since we're almost on 4th of July, this week's theme is

RED/WHITE/BLUE

As it's a first Monday of the month, we showcase a particular brand.
This time we use DARKROOM DOOR products!

As always you can win a $50 voucher and spend it

Here in Poland we obviously do not celebrate 4th of July
but I decided to join my crafty US friends' celebration
and made this commemorative card for their Independence Day.

Since I wanted my colors to be very soft and a bit "frosted"
I covered all my surfaces with some layers of white gesso
using the dry brush technique which I really love.

First I covered my base with modeling paste through Darkroom Door Mesh stencil and then colored it with blues. When it dried I used the dry brush technique and soften the color with white gesso.

Remember THIS project? My today's butterfly is the "leftover"
or the inside of that background panel :-) As it was divided into 2 parts,
I sewed it giving an extra detail to the die cut.
I colored it with red and after drying, covered with several layers
of white gesso using the same dry brush technique.

The panel behind the butterfly is just this amazing 3D embossing folder
used with a deep blue cardstock and touched with white gesso
by a dry brush again.

The red frame is a leftover from THIS project :-)
I just shorten it to make it square.
It seems I never throw away anything!

Happy 4th of July!

Egzotycznie

OMG! Świat się kończy.
