Seashells

It's a middle of the second month of summer and I just starting my holiday!
Before I go to relax and forget the world, let me invite you to a hot

Since it's a season we shouldn't go missing what I love the most:

NAUTICAL theme!

I'm sure you all will be joinig us this week sharing your summer projects.

I really love all the Nautical themes, details, seashells, boats, everything.
This time I made a nautical tag incorporating a real seashells I brought
this year in May when I spent some days at the seaside.
I am sure I will bring more from my nearest trip too.

Here come some steps I made to get this nautical tag:

1. I colored this pretty images from Nautical Blueprint (thanks, Loraine!)
with some shades of browns using Distress Inks.
2. I covered my colored parts with Distress Micro Glaze.
3. Colored the backgrounds with blue and turquoise Ditsress Oxides.
4. Teared the edges and touched them with brown Distress Ink.
5. Finally I gave a glow to my images with Clear Wink of Stella pen.

1. For my base I took a very heavy kraft cardboard and made a tag.
2. Applied a thin layer of Clear Gesso and colored with Distress Oxides.
3. I added splashes of White Gesso to the background.
4. Used Grid Stencil to give more interest on the edges.
5. I colored pieces of gauze, added twine and Ring Frame die cuts (thanks, Sandra!) and stamped small flying birds from SSS Sea You Soon set.

Finally I put some seashell and micro beads and adhered it all together.
