Let me invite you to take part in a new challenge.
This week it's about MIDSUMMER BLUES on your creations.
As always you can win a $50 voucher
and spend it at Simon Says Stamp Store.
I made another collage card using some leftovers
and strong and vibrant colors.
Let's see how I created this one.
First I covered my base with a deep blue acrylic paint using a brayer.
I made it randomly and uneven leaving white places.
Then I embossed it with the embossing folder, took the black ink pad
and just smeared it lightly on the embossed surface. The black ink stayed
only on the peacked parts of my embossed base. Cool effect, right?
Then I picked some leftovers and scraps, distressed their edges
with the same black ink and started to assembly.
I just adhered it all to my base and placed my focal point
which is a small panel with negative die cut of insects.
I sewed the edges, stamped some hand writting and placed
the same blue background to let the insects be more visible.
I stamped and die cut the ladybug and colored it with vibrant red.
To give it more interest I covered it with glossy accents.
